Results are an indicative combined estimate across the mobile networks available to your kit, not a guarantee from any single operator. Terrain, mast load and weather all move real speeds around. Before we take payment we verify the exact pitch by hand — and if we can't get you a usable connection, we don't take the booking.

How do I know there will be signal where I'm staying?+
Send us the postcode or what3words of your pitch when you book. We check the combined coverage of every UK mobile network at that location and tell you the anticipated speed band honestly. If nothing usable reaches the site, we say so and do not take the booking.
Is the data really unlimited?+
Yes. There is no data cap and no overage charges. A fair usage policy applies to prevent commercial-scale use such as continuous large-file seeding, but normal holiday use — HD and 4K streaming, video calls, gaming, remote working — is fully covered.
How fast is it?+
Real-world speeds depend on the mast serving your site. On 5G most customers see 60 to 250 Mbps; on 4G it is typically 20 to 60 Mbps. Anything above roughly 10 Mbps comfortably handles HD streaming on several devices at once.
When will the kit arrive?+
Orders placed before 2pm on a working day ship the same day on a DPD next-day tracked service. We can deliver to your home address before you travel, or direct to the park or campsite reception timed for your arrival day.
Can it be delivered straight to the campsite?+
Yes, as long as the site accepts parcels on your behalf. We recommend checking with reception first and giving us your pitch number and arrival date so the label is clear.
How do I set it up?+
Plug the router into power, wait about 60 seconds for the signal light to settle, then connect your phone or laptop to the network name and password printed on the card in the box. There is no app, account or configuration.
Does it need mains electricity?+
Not necessarily. The router runs from a standard mains hookup, a 12V socket, a leisure battery or a USB-C power bank, which is how most tent customers run it. A full-size power bank will typically keep it going for a long weekend.
How many devices can connect?+
Up to 32 devices at once across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. In practice a family of four with phones, tablets, a laptop and a streaming stick uses about a third of that.
Will it work for streaming TV and video calls?+
Yes. Netflix, iPlayer, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, Zoom and Teams all work normally. Some UK broadcast services will detect a mobile IP address but this does not block playback.
Can I extend my rental if my trip runs on?+
Yes. Message us before your return date and we will extend at the pro-rata daily rate and email you a new return label. Nothing stops working while we sort it out.
What happens if the router stops working?+
Call or message support first — most issues are fixed remotely in a few minutes. If the hardware has genuinely failed, we dispatch a replacement on a next-day service at no charge.
How do I return it?+
Put the router, cables and antennas back in the box, seal it, stick on the prepaid label and drop it at any DPD pickup point or Post Office. It needs to be posted within two working days of your rental ending.
What if I lose or badly damage the kit?+
Everyday wear, rain and knocks are covered. Loss, theft or clear misuse is charged at the replacement cost of the hardware, which is £149 for the router and £29 for the antenna set. We tell you before charging anything.
Can I take it abroad?+
Our rentals are UK-only, covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you are ferrying to Europe, contact us before booking and we will tell you whether we can supply a roaming SIM for your dates.
Do you rent to holiday parks and businesses?+
Yes. We supply parks, glamping sites, event organisers and film crews with multiple units, seasonal rates and invoiced billing. Email hello@pitchwifi.co.uk with your dates and number of units.
How do I pay, and is a deposit taken?+
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking by card. We do not hold a security deposit and we do not run credit checks.
Can I cancel?+
Cancel more than 48 hours before dispatch for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, or once the kit has shipped, we refund the rental less the outbound shipping cost.
